Testimonials

In an effort to provide real-world virtual examples of my abilities and personality in the workplace, I have asked former students and their parents to provide a testimonial regarding their experience with me as their teacher/counselor. Enjoy!

Jamie taught my son when he was in the third grade. Layton had always struggled with reading and life organization. Early in the school year, Miss Dyche worked diligently to help keep Layton on track. One night, I emailed her a random article titled "How I Knew My Child has Dyslexia." Immediately the next morning, she emailed me back stating she agrees and will begin the screening process for Dyslexia. She continued with follow-ups until Layton had the resources that he needed. We did lots of trial and error from color over lays, seating location in the class and patience (lots of patience).
I give her almost all of the credit for taking my child from strongly disliking reading and classwork to begging me to take him to the library because his new favorite hobby is reading.

She has a passion for children and molds herself to give exactly what they need. She advocates for all of her students. We've had a lot of good teachers, but she will always be the best teacher Layton ever had.

Jamie Dyche is a great teacher and a great mentor. She taught my daughter in the fifth grade. One of the things I loved about her is that she treated every child equally and if my daughter had a situation or trouble with anything, she would talk to her to get the problem solved. She is a genuine person and just loves working with kids. Still to this day, my daughter keeps in contact with her.

Miss Dyche made sure the line of communication from the parent to the teacher was open. Getting regular updates about my child's progress was truly a blessing.
